How to get cat hair off blankets

Cat hair clings to knit throws and fleece. Dry lift first so hair does not felt into the wash.

Steps

  1. Lay the blanket flat. Pull hair in short strokes with a reusable lint tool. The Cleaner Mini is 4.2 x 0.1 x 3.25 inches for seams and bindings.
  2. Skip knitted and delicate weaves if the tool edge catches the yarn.
  3. Wash on the cycle the care label lists. A dryer sheet scented Summer Wisteria can go in the dryer with a wet load. The sheet is polyester (polyethylene terephthalate) with a cationic softener and bentonite.
  4. If hair remains, repeat a dry lint pass after the blanket is fully dry.
