How to get dog hair out of carpet

Dog hair sits on the tips of the pile and then drops into the base. A vacuum alone often leaves a film of hair.

Steps

1. Vacuum with slow passes. Empty the canister often.
2. Go over the same lanes with a reusable lint tool. For rooms, use the Xtra size (60 x 8.07 x 1.97 inches). For stairs and landings, use the Pro (6.6 x 5 x 0.37 inches).
3. Do not use the tool on knitted or delicate rugs.
4. Wash area-rug covers only if the label allows it. Dry fully before you put them back.
